During difficult economic times, we need your help more than ever.  Please support our VOTE/COPE campaign.

Why does our membership support Vote/Cope?

Vote/Cope is the New York State United Teachers’ political action fund and it is working for YOU.  Vote/Cope is a strong advocate for maintaining state aid to school districts – to provide the means to better educate our students.

VOTE-COPE lobbies for:

· improved health care and benefits for teachers

· safe schools and better working conditions

· protection of teacher rights and legal protection for our members

You might ask, “Why should I contribute?”

Simply, VOTE-COPE lobbyists are our strongest voice to our state legislators and our governor.  It is a non-partisan political action organization that pools the voluntary contributions of members from across the state to make support and protect our interests. 

If we don’t voice our interests in Albany, it is unlikely any other group will.
